I Got My Red Boots

I was THIS close, THIS close to getting the boxed up and loose fabric sorted and out. THIS close, I say. But I just didn't make the deadline. Which, I'm okay with because yesterday I rested. Today, I've got my red boots on and I'm ready to shop.

Parsnip wins three dried boogers, two earlobes and a locket because she said, dates. These were organic Medjool dates and oh my flippin' gosh, they were YUMMY.

Delish, delish, delish, delish.

  1. I have never been able to figure this out: I adore fig newtons, but detest figs. Go figure.

    1. Maybe it's the sugar added? I dunno. I haven't ever had a fig. Next on my to try list.

  2. And here I've never eaten dates.

Obviously that would take on a completely different context if Hannibal Lecter said it.

  4. I love dates but didn't recognise them in your pix. I don't eat them much nowadays as they are very high in sugars. Diabetes and all that.

    1. I'm sorry you can't have them. This is my first time having a Medjool organic date. I find I can't eat more than one, maybe two.

  6. I love dates.
That last photo just reminded me of when I would pit them put soften cream cheese in the insides and roll them in sugar.
1950 Goodness. Mum used to make them. Heaven in a bite.

    cheers, parsnip

    1. Before this pack, I've only had the super duper dried ones, but these are soooo soft and delish.

I can see them working well with cream cheese. So far, I've had them with organic unsweetened peanut butter. Delish.
