Chubba Bubba Monday: Monkey Balls

I woke swollen and sore today.  The last three days at work have not been kind to me.  But my attitude is good, even though I feel a bit defeated on the work front.

And if I'm honest, my new hours aren't working.

This changes the direction of my going back to school.  And leaves me a little unsure of where to step next.

Not a great feeling.

But it's clear that when I'm away from my job, I do much better.  Even as I write this, I know that I have to get a new job.  I know that.  And it sucks monkey balls.

So, how'd you all do this week?

  2. I can relate on the work front. And yes it sucks. I've been trying to find some kind of concrete direction for some time now... but solid concrete walls are all I've gotten thus far. I've not given up hope yet! Here's to the right solution for us both HW ;)

    1. What I want is to keep my job and keep going with my current plans. But what my body wants, is not so much that.

Good luck to you. How is your cleanse going?

  4. The job seems to be negatively impacting the quality of your life, so some sort of change is in order. But with the job market so poor and the economic future of America looking so grim, it's hard to say what you should do.

    Monkey balls, I like that:)

    1. It really is and I've done the new hours for three weeks, this coming week will be my fourth. Not smart to go from feeling good to being hurt all over again. Every bloody weekend.

      Monkey balls is pretty good.

  6. I'm sorry, Ivy! But your health is more important. Finding a new one will suck, but you'll feel so much better.

    1. Thanks. I've tried the new schedule for three weeks, this is my fourth, just not working. You're right, I'll feel better in the end. Just a little sad right now.

    1. It will work out. I always land on my feet. Just a little bummed. But in the end, I know something better will come of this.

  8. I can completely understand! We've been here a little over a month now and I still haven't been able to find a job. It's frustrating and discouraging, especially because I had to forgo taking the classes I had planned to right now due to lack of funds. Keep your head up!

    1. Thanks. Head up, just with a frownie face.

No jobs? Not even at McDonalds or a fast food joint? Hope you find something soon. Sorry you had to forgo classes.

  9. Sorry it's been so hard on your body. We all have these times in life. Mom always used to say, "This too will pass."

    Keep your chin up :D

  13. Hey Ivy. Sorry to hear you had to make this tough decision. I see in the comments that you are already feeling better now that you've vocalized your need to change. I hope that positivity stays with you as you move into action in a new direction.

    Thinking about you.

    1. Thanks Jen - It's been coming for a long time. But after this 3 to 4 week experiment with the new hours, it's only logical to move forward.

And really, I feel pretty good about it. I woke today with barely any swelling, was able to wear my wedding band, and had energy to take on the day.

      That's good stuff.

    3. Me too, thanks.

I'm having fun decorating my blog today. And later, I'm going to get free paper towels at Kmart.

      Big day.

    1. Thanks, Chris. I'm actually okay with things now. Got an idea of what I want to do and now I'm moving forward.

Thanks about the banner. That's a picture on a Halloween puzzle box, I own.
