Is That a Banana Cake? Or a Video Camera?

Today I turned on the camera and shot video. Basically me yapping about food. Like there's not enough food in my life, I should feel the need to do videos.  But I do, so there you go. That said, my face was blurry, couldn't hear me (too well), and I forgot lots and lots of words. But that's okay, it's a step forward.

I'll happily take it.

As for today's labs, waffles in the morning and as type this blog, bakes a first draft of a banana oat cake.  Smells good, but I won't know until she cools down.

Either way, this concludes my lab work for the afternoon, as well as this post.  Thanks for reading and as usual, I'll catch your blogs on the weekend.

Have a yummy day and boogie boogie.

    1. Is it the lightness of the cake that you enjoy more? Or the frosting????

And baking almost always smells wonderful. Comfort food at its most enticing.

    1. Hi Stacy. This draft no, because it didn't quite work. But when it does, I can see a nice coconut, vanilla, maple sorta caramel frosting. Sounds like a lot but it works!

      What's your favorite frostings?

    2. Not a fan of coconut or maple. Caramel and banana don't sound good together, either (and I love caramel). But for banana cake, vanilla or cream cheese frosting sounds good.

    3. Lots of folks love that cream cheese frosting.

Caramel and banana oh my gosh, so yummy. If it's homemade dairy-free caramel, I'm in. If it's ready-made ANYTHING, I'm out.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're having a yummy week.

  9. You can't beat the wonderful smell / aroma of home cooking / baking.

You can't beat the taste of home grown food.

Progress with the video camera is good, looking forward to seeing them when you are ready.

Now to answer your question from your previous post ... We've had some lovely Spring like days and the trees and gardens are looking great. Nice to have a wander out and about and enjoy the sunshine...

    Have a great week

    All the best Jan
