  1. Almost everything in my kitchen is new since I had to buy it all within the last year for my new apartment. But I believe the very latest thing I purchased was one of those little egg timers that you put in the boiling water with the eggs.

  11. A little weighted nylon cloth for putting over top of foods to be microwaved. I had one gifted to me a year or two back and it is also useful for covering the top of an open wine bottle on the table. Sometimes I need both at once.

  14. A (pre-owned) bread maker which we don't want as we like to make the bread in the traditional way.
    The previous present was a ceramic salt and pepper grinding set which both work brilliantly.

    2. Because a relative had given it to them and they didn't want it . It was hereitisandrunaway.
      Yes I love my grinding set after many years of peppermills being bought and never working for very long.

  15. New kettle - important to boil my water for my early morning cuppa ... well for my daytime and night-time cuppa's too!
