WHAT'S FOR LUNCH?

Just about to dive into a hot bowl of organic chicken soup, with locally raised organic chicken legs. I like leg and thigh meat best for chicken soup. Tastes better to me, and it's less mess than simmering an entire bird.

What's to eat at your house today?

  1. Met a bud and had Bruschetta. Yum.
Ivy, were you saying Organic Virgin Coconut Oil works as face cream?

    1. Yes, I love it also on my hands. I buy all kinds of coconut oil but only use the organic virgin for skin. I make toothpaste from it as well as apply the coconut oil to minor scratches.

Are you considering giving it a go?

  2. Sounds a great lunch.

Meanwhile here in the UK we've just enjoyed fish for dinner with buttery mashed swede and broccoli. I think you call swede rutabaga!

    All the best Jan

It's cheese and strawberries here today. The first strawberries are amazingly good.

  10. Yum! that certainly beats what I've had today--canned ravioli...as decent as it was for what it was! Oh, and I had toast-- both french toast and regualr toast later. Not terribly healthy, must say. OH!! And yes, some choc digestives as drawn the other day. three of them to be exact. Oh dear me.

    1. We have a few places that sell the digestives here. Imported. Didn't you have any peanut butter today?

  14. I never knew that you could make chicken soup without the whole bird. Thanks for the great suggestion, Ivy!

    1. Sure thing, Julie - I always do because I don't enjoy white meat in my soup.

Please let me know if you give it a go and enjoy it.
