      How goes you?

    1. I like to hydrate my flour with all kinds of stuff. So fun.

Do you like to bake breads?

  5. Have you ever tried homemade granola bars? I eat Cliff Bars from the store, but my son is allergic to nuts.

    1. He can't eat them. I found a nut-free recipe online.
      :)

    2. My bad, as I didn't understand that the Cliff Bars had nuts. Glad you found a formula. I've not make bars in ages. Just granola crumbles.

    1. They are super smart, they ALWAYS know when a bake is theirs. Otherwise, they're not interested.

    1. I enjoy hydrating flour with many different liquids. Really fun stuff.

Hydrating with 100% homemade chicken stock is killer when using the bread for stuffing.

      So. Flippin'. Good.

  9. Watson and thehamish love pancakes. So I am sure they would love Breakfast Bread.
I am watching my carb intake so just a small slice for me.
    Thank You.

    1. Blogger messed me up...
I wonder if you are allergic to honey.
I have to watch how much I have and if I eat raw honey I can't breathe.

      cheers, parsnip

    2. Why do you watch your carb intake? Is it all carbs? Or is it limited to refined?

To answer your question, I am not allergic to any of the types of honey that I use. Which is good because I bake with it often.

Why though, do you even eat some of it? If it causes you problems ... why not terminate all use of honey?

    3. I have gotten better over the years. Every once in a while I will eat something that has honey in it. Either baked in or put on top. So I really don't have to worry.
      I shouldn't have said I can't breathe but I get congested.

    4. Ohhhh, that's at least better than not breathing.

      How's the pup today?

  10. Yummy! I'm a sucker for cookie dough and used to eat it all the time as a kid - my mom was quite the baker. Delicious!

    1. You just reminded me that I forgot to make cookies today. Crap.

Did your mom pass on the baking gene to you?

  11. I just made a large batch of tomato soup. No maple bread though.

    1. I nearly won the gold but someone else was able to eat more raw dough than me. So close though. So close.

I use honey water in my breads and the yeast loves it.

    1. Yes, I agree. Honey works wonderfully. Thanks for the nice words about my stick cartoons.

My hubby not so long ago bought me my first tablet and it came with a pen.
