Everything here was zero oop. In couponing terms, that means zero out of our pocket. Or better put, free.
Although, Hubby saw my face and knew that even at zero oop, I was getting a rash. So he went to the counter and paid for what I already picked out, with his winnings. Then came back to where I was and took the rest from me and got that free too.
He told the lady, "I have to hurry up and get it paid for before my wife talks herself out of it, saying that she doesn't need it. Then we get home tonight and she'll say, I wish I would have gotten that."
The lady laughed and said, "We're all like that."

Yes, you are all like that!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I confess, I'm even worse. I hate buying stuff for myself. My wife has to force me to get something I want.
That is what he had to do for me. And I am glad he did. Stuff bakes like a dream.
DeleteNice gear, I used to see baking gear in my shops
ReplyDeleteIan
I bet you saw the best stuff. Very cool.
DeleteI don't get to the "I don't really need this" phase until I get home. Unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteThat is a rough one too. Do you return it the next day?
DeleteI'm like that too! I saw a red and white short sleeved shirt downtown and been meaning to buy it all summer long and still haven't .....
ReplyDeleteWill it go on clearance?
DeleteYou mean on sale? The sales should start real soon, they usually start at the peak of summer, but in my country things on sale are never more than 10 or 20% cheaper. And sometimes they even raise the price before the sales :(
DeleteLike a sale but better. Things will go from 70% to 90% off retail price.
DeleteThough we do have one store in my town that will raise food prices, and then do a bogo sale. I don't know who they are fooling with that trick.
oh, you're so lucky! The worst thing is that most clothes and things are generally more expensive here than in the West even though we're a poor country. You can probably buy three or four pairs of sneakers there for the price of one pair here.
DeleteI've never heard of 90% sales! What bliss is that? :)
It can be fun and, most places that I shop at, will let me use a coupon on a clearanced item, often making them free. But ... it is a pick-through. Sometimes it's just junk in the bins, other times good stuff.
DeleteWow, three or four pairs for the price you pay for one. That is crazy stuff. I don't understand, sometimes these high high prices. Makes me nuts.
Just think of all the yummy things you'll make with that new bakeware! A good investment!
ReplyDeletePaid with winnings. So free, an even better deal. Do you bake?
DeleteYay for new toys!
ReplyDeleteHey Marcy. Hope the editing goes well today. Have you taken many pictures outside, so far this summer? I have not.
DeleteAwesome! You've got one sweet hubby there! :)
ReplyDeleteI do indeed.
DeleteA lot for you to play with now!
ReplyDeleteFor sure.
DeleteI envision lots of good treats in your future, Ivy! They're great supplies to make baking a dream. Good hubby too!
ReplyDeleteHe's a keeper.
DeleteI can already smell the goodness you are going to bake with your new arsenal. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI'm locked and loaded, and ready to bake.
DeleteWhat a great deal, and what a great honey to quickly pay for your toys.
ReplyDeleteHe's super supportive of my food writing.
DeleteOh yes! I do that too. But what great goodies you got. Good for your hubby.
ReplyDeleteIt's terrible that we do that. I'm learning to get better at it, but I still get a slight rash at the thought of spending too much.
DeleteNice! Have fun with your new toys!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sherry.
DeleteAww Ivy I love your new toys:))
ReplyDeleteIt is fun to get new toys. Do you have nice bake stores near you?
DeleteNot near. I live in the countryside.
DeleteBut when I go to Santiago always I back with something lol
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww you chose well and I don't mean the kitchen goodies !
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
I did at that. We make a good team.
DeleteFree? Crikey ... how marvelous. Enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteSo far everything bakes like a dream. How goes your work today?
DeleteNot too bad thanks. Bizarre weather Down Under at the moment. Keep getting power cuts and lots and lots of rain.
DeletePower cuts are no fun. Hope things get back to normal there soon.
Deleteenjoy them
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteYes, I saw your response over at Suzie's. That is a very valid distinction -- easy not lazy.
