My Pretty Little Stockpile

It's not as big as the couponers on TV but I don't care about that.  What I do care about is that ALL of those items were FREE using coupons, sales, promotions and skill.  Along with the patience to wait for the right sale, and not least of all, an open-minded husband willing to try new items.

Which brings us to today.  Two years of couponing.

See our wall?  Prior to two years ago, those goodies caused me stress.  I hated spending money on them.  Hated it.  But now thanks to coupons, I shop for the wall, and the wall takes care of us.  All in exchange for a little time, a willingness to try new things, and mad coupon clipping skills.

That's right, I got game.  Wait ... Did I say that right?  I dunno, doesn't matter.  Anyway, here's the most recent picture of my stockpile.  I just love it.  She's so pretty.

  1. Well done, Whisk, you lead by example! Your stock piles of treasure always make me slightly envious - we don't have a coupon culture over here, but I can only imagine the money we'd save if we did.

    1. Thanks Tim. I enjoy it. Even though it is a high-maintenance game. It's still fun.

No coupons at all, in your area?

    2. We have the odd money off voucher, but nothing that compares to your Olympian feats of couponing!

    3. I can't get over how high things are anymore. Just seems like the prices go up and up and up. Unless one wants to eat a lot of processed crap.

    1. Unfortunately we can't eat any of that. Or, we could but I'm thinking soap chips, probably not so tasty. But at least we won't be stinky. Until we have to rub zombie flesh on us like they do on that television show.

    3. I wish that wasn't the case because it would be more fun to be able to send stuff through the mail. These days though, it's so high.

    4. yep, a friend of mine, a popular writer, once had send me her new book, and I wanted to thank her by sending another book to her (she lives in the Philippines) and the cost of the postage was two times the price of the book itself :(

    1. Some couponers sell their freebies in their front yard. Seriously, for half the price of the store, or so.

  6. Hoarder!

Well, that was my first thought! LOL

But really, just came from Tim's "place." Are you telling me that a "snuggle muffin" like you hasn't always celebrated Valentine's Day? Really?

I am utterly shocked. The ultimate "snuggle couple" not doing Valentine's Day. What do you think all those warm baked goods are for!?

    Hehehehehehehehe!

    1. Nope, we never really got into it. Maybe one year, I think we did. Anyway, we're having fun with it this year. And last year I had a blast putting falling hearts on Tim's blog. This year though, I got a few ideas ... and it's gonna be girly.

    1. Thanks, Suzie. It's not a big wall, but it's a good solid useful wall, and that I love.
