Dig My New Juicer - She's so Pretty

Got it last weekend.  The Omega Vrt 350 HD.  She's one mean machine.  And dig this, we got a store coupon that took 76 smackers off the bill.

Last night I made string bean juice with a few black cherries tossed in.  It was weird, but I liked it.

I'm having fun playing with combinations.  So far I've found the drinks with two or three ingredients taste the best.  Like organic carrots, raw ginger and green apple.  So yummy.

And now, I best be getting on.  I'll be back Monday with the Chubba Bubba Report for anyone that wants to join me.

Until then, cheers and boogie boogie.

  1. People who have juicers rave about them. Guess I'd have to try a drink first. Glad you're enjoying yours.

    1. No, no, I know. I wasn't sure either. But the string beans gave a good bit of juice and the cherries brightens the drink. For real.

    2. yep, I'm not sure about string beans either. You probably shouldn't drink juice from veggies which aren't generally eaten raw.

    3. Sounds bloody vile to me!!!! Yuk!

    4. Dezmond: Oh my gosh, raw string beans are the best. So flipping good to munch or drink. I double dog dare you to give them a go.

Why I just got another big batch this morning at the farmer's market, along with beautiful apples. Pictures coming soon.

Rayolla: Noooo, it's WONDERFUL. I swear. Very earthy tasting and those little suckers produce a fair amount of juice, provided they are fresh and snap with a crisp sound.

      Num num num.

  8. Hi Happy Whisk, that's a very nice juicer. Enjoy your new toy. If you got no gastric problem try this beauty juice 1/2 lemon, 3 tomatoes + 2 tsp honey. Drink 1/2 an hour before breakfast 2 times a week.

    Have a nice weekend.

    1. I drink half a lemon each morning but not for beauty. Sometimes I warm it with honey and drink like a tonic. Never tried it with toms before though.

      Do you enjoy juicing?

  9. natural juices can cure so many dangerous illnesses! I'm currently on banana, nectarine and honey juices, and will move onto melon, honey, orange towards the end of summer :)

Be careful while putting beet in juices, since it is a strong diuretic and can cause headaches in people who are not used to healthy diet :)

    2. Juicy Lucy springs to mind :) but I think that's a brand name here in NZ for juices.

    3. You know what? I really like that. And I love the name Lucy because it reminds me of I Love Lucy - which I own on DVD and still watch.

So Lucy it is. Thanks bunches.

  13. Ah yes, a juicer, such a healthy option as long as you are juicing stuff that's real good for you n'stuff.

I was thinking of by a masticating juicer machine. Yes, the word was "masticating" :)

A good rest of your weekend.

    Gary :)

    1. I went with a masticating over the centrifugal juicer. If you are seriously considering one and have a Bed Bath & Beyond - you can sign up for their email coupons. I did that and got 76 bucks taken off the top of my bill.

      Love that.

Good rest of the weekend to you as well.
