Friday Question: Blog Reading

Hello Boogerbutts.  As I write to you, I am officially done with my work day and even though I'm still in my prep clothes, I am OFF THE CLOCK - until Monday @11am.

You can't see, but I'm doing a little boogie in my chair.

Now my question.  How do you read and/or organize your blog rolls?  Do you use Feedly (I think it's called), or Blog Lovin'?  What works for you?

Or, what doesn't work for you?  And why?

Right now I have individual blog rolls, but I'm looking for a more efficient way to organize and read blogs.

Thanks and boogie boogie :-]

  1. I do not organize my blog rolls. I don't think I have any blog rolls to organize. But if I ever do have them, I will be asking your advice on how to organize them :)

    1. You didn't make a blog roll yet? They are fun, but now I have too many and I'd like to get it in better shape.

  2. I use both, although Feedly is the main one. Within both, I have multiple folders so I can keep up with everyone I follow.

    1. I remember you talking about that before. I think I'll have to give it a go, because the system I have now just isn't working, anymore. Thanks.

  3. Have no idea what a blog roll is or does. I have the blogs I follow listed on my own blog, with the newest post up on top. It's what works for me!

    1. That's what a blogroll is, and it did work for me for a long time. That list on my own page. But now, especially with coupon blogs, I want something a little more organized.

  4. Mine are manually organized. I keep an ongoing folder of new blogs I've found and update my blog rolls periodically to include the new ones. It is not a perfect system, but so far it works.

    1. That's good though, that it works for you. That's what I want, something that works for me, now that my old system no longer does.

  6. I'm interested to read the answers. This is my Sunday chore, to select Feedly or Bloglovin.

    1. Feedly seems like it would work, so I'll give it a go this weekend, as well.

  7. I'm still using several blogrolls but I may look at this Feedly thing?

  8. I just have my blogrolls these days (one for gaming and one for everything else) so I can scan down, reading the headlines - and sometimes the first sentence of a piece - and decide if I want to read the rest.

Every so often I'll go through and have a purge of dead or faded blogs.

    1. I do purge dead blogs as well, and I swear, each time I do that, I accidentally remove myself from a blog that I didn't want to leave.

      Duh.

  9. I plan on switching to Feedly if they really take away our reading list come July 1. I keep hearing conflicting stories about what's going away and what isn't. Right now I use my blog roll and then my reading list.

  10. I just read my blog reading list straight as is. Mind you, I'm more than a week behind at present.
