Caramel Popcorn

Caramel popcorn is one of my new favorite weekend treats. The salty and the sweet mixed together is pure heaven. Especially when using quality ingredients.

Formula:
80g good organic light brown sugar
30g organic (or good), unsalted butter
2oz. organic (or good), double cream
Organic (or good) popcorn

Steps:
Make plain popcorn and remove un-popped kernels.  Transfer to a cookie sheet lined with baking paper.  Lightly salt with Kosher (or good sea salt), and set aside.

Toss ingredients into a medium sauce pan.  Melt on low heat until sugar dissolves.  Hand-whisk on boil for about one minute.  Drizzle over lightly salted corn.

  16. Hi William. It is very easy and excellent in taste, so long as good ingredients are used. It is similar in flavor to kettle corn, but even better. I used to travel to get kettle corn, now I eat this. Thanks for stopping by.

  23. That looks delicious! I've never tried freshly made caramel popcorn before, only the stuff you get at the store that turned stale three months prior to purchasing. I can tell I've been missing out, thank you for the recipe!

  27. My Mom spoils her adult children by making caramel popcorn every year at Christmas. She made way more than usual this year so we all overdosed on it, but I still wouldn't turn down a bowl of it... it is too good! :)
