FIGHTING THE DOUBT MONSTER

For the last 24 hours I've been fighting The Doubt Monster. He's a big bastard of a fudge who comes by every now and again just to let me know he's still breathing.

I hate him.

He can suck it.

Most times, I push him aside because I'm working and don't have time or interest in his nonsense. But yesterday, he hung around too long.

Soon, I started to doubt myself and my YouTube channel. When Tim got home we talked it out, and today I'm back to myself. Albeit a little groggy, but back to making videos and having fun.

I'll take it.

  3. Doubt Monster - I like that way of looking at what is a common problem for many of us. Keep on doing what makes you happy, Ivy. You can't please everyone!

  4. Make him sleep with the fishes, or take a dirt nap. Push up daisies. Congressionally investigated.

  5. I have a doubt monster here too, he hangs around now and again telling me I can't do this or that so why do I even try. Mostly I ignore him, but sometimes I get to thinking he's right and I put aside what I'm trying and get slothful for a while instead.

He can get me to think he's right.
      But he's NEVER right.
      Thanks, River!

  8. If you like what you do, if it makes you happy, that is all that matters. If others do as well, then that is just a bonus. Don't stop believing!

  15. Ah... doubt. What's not to hate about the beast. Yet, it somehow helps challenge us by making us address "stuff" which we are not attending to. When we finally chat with the beast (living within) we usually find a solution - as you have. Good job!
    Cheers, Jenny
