NEVER EVER !!!!

I made laundry soap for the first time and oh my gosh, does it work. It gets clothes so flippin' clean.  Didn't smell enough of the lemon but the fabric was super clean and no static! OMG. I will never use store-bought again.

EVER!!!!!

In other news, the pile of KEEPS from yesterday's post, is coming along well. I'll write more when I'm done.

    1. For this batch, I used sodium carbonate (aka soda ash or washing soda), and I also used castile soap.

      Along with lemon peels.

  4. Hey sweet friend it's been on my list to make my own soap forever. The reason my blog isn't showing up in your blogroll is because when I bought the .com it kicked me off everyones roll. You have to go to my page and copy the link and then go to where you read your blogs and click the add button and paste the link in. Darn Blogger is making it so hard. Grrrrr.

  8. I only want to know how much it costs to make. Unless I can save a LOT of money I am sticking with Tide:-)

    1. Sodium Carbonate - $3.97
      Castile Bar (3ct) - $3.28
Lemon Peels (free because we use the lemons weekly for lemonade)

Those prices will come down if I make my own sodium carbonate and my own castile soap.

      Thanks for asking!

  12. Such a cool idea!Sadly though, most of the new machines only use liquid. Mine is one, but here at the beach the machines use anything. Love the idea! May even try it once I finish this darn book! LOL

    1. Hey Girl -- This can be made into a liquid. Any of them can. I just opted out of that idea for myself because I wanted the ease of a little glass jar.

  20. Would love the recipe. You mentioned a liquid version. Do you just add water till it becomes syrup-y, or...?
