Or used. Ha!

I Did What I Did (and now I'm done)

Today, I didn't get everything done but it did finally warm up enough for me to have homemade dairy-free chocolate, cherry ice cream. I meant to snap pictures, but my belly had other plans.

I digress.

The groovy thing is even though I didn't get everything done, I feel good. Where in the past I might try and do more.

Instead, I'm headed to the shower, gonna put on cute jeans and a Halloween shirt. Do you know what it's like to open your drawers/closet and love everything in there?  I do.

It's flippin' amazing.

But look at me, I'm writing the longest post in the history of ever. I'm not even sure I have a point. I'm just happy. Happy not to be stuck in the mindset of, I should've, I could've, maybe still can, get it done.

Screw that bullshit.

I did what I did and now I'm done. When Tim gets home, supper then to Barnes.  We plan to close the place down.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Friday Question: What Am I ????

My breakfast plan was to have chocolate cherry ice cream, homemade, no added sugars and free from dairy. BUT, it's so flippin' cold here, that I'm gonna go for a warm bowl of rice with broccoli and cauliflower. Followed by ginger, turmeric and cinnamon tea for dessert.

Anyway, it's Friday here at The Manor and I'm about to make something with the image below. What am I? Winners receive three dusty paperbacks, two frames and a lamp.

Decluttered Brain - You Betcha

The main reason that I decluttered to the tune of 80 percent is because I wanted to be able to work from home, more efficiently. That is, I wanted to make household chores quicker, so that I can enjoy spending more time working on food photos and food writing.

My plan, worked.

But what I didn't expect was for my memory to improve along with my energy and focus. Or, that I'd finally realize that yeppers, I do have lots of food stuff to share.

Thank you, uncluttered brain.

And thank YOU for reading. Time for lunch. I'm gonna have a big bowl of veggies. What are you having?

I LOVE THAT ...

I love that it's 8AM and my last load of laundry is in the dryer and the rest is folded and away. Where before, we had an overflow of clothes.

I love that last night, I did the bills in under ten minutes, and that everything is housed in a single sunshine yellow envelope. Where before, I had boxes of saved bills, receipts and budget charts.

I love that, of the 80 percent of personal belongings that were removed from this house, that I miss none of it.

I love that in a few hours, Tim will be home early.

Best Rest Day, Ever !!!!

After lots of good work, I'm resting. That means me in the Lemon Tart Room, blankets, bookend pups and I Love Lucy on DVD. The best bit, is that even under the covers, the house feels simple and easy to be in.

Best rest day, ever.

I made these over the weekend, to give as gifts.

HAPPY

Dig me. This is my closet. Two robes, one long flannel that I wear as a robe and one hippie dippy dress. And in my drawers, are just the stuff that fits and that I enjoy wearing. No clutter. No storage. No just-in-case.

I. Am. So. Happy.

There's a Bee in My Bonnet

Today, I woke with a bee in my bonnet. Or, more true, a rash on my skin. But they feel about the same. Itchy! So I crawled out of the coffin, got dressed and made myself a cup of warm lemon tea. Which is just water, lemon and herbal stevia extract (not that stevia crap sold on supermarket shelves. That stuff is pure piss. Don't even get me started).

But I digress.

It took me 4 weeks to get rid of 80 percent of my belongings and it might take me another 4 to put everything back together including plant seeds, touch up paint and finish making blankets. But with this bee in my bonnet, today should go a long way in being closer to done.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Freedom !!!!

Only 2 days left to our 10-day staycation and boy, it went whoosh. But it ain't over yet. Today, we're gonna hang home and do fun things. We were hoping for a nice big rain storm but looks like another sunny day. That's okay too!

I'm about to make pancakes, free from dairy and eggs (of course) and then I sew. Last Friday for Tim's birthday I made him a new blanket. I love sewing again. Even better, I'm FREE from all of the just-in-case fabric, that I'd been saving.

Freedom!

PS: What is/was for breakfast ????
