Cupcakes & Bread Boxes

As part of my gifts, Tim got me an allergy-friendly cupcake bake book. Since I already eat that way, I had most of the ingredients except, grapeseed oil. That's a new one for me. Excited to give it a go.

In health news, earlier today we hit the WholeFoods Co-Op and I got a rash. It's been hours now and I still look like a radish.

In other news, we dropped the Batcave and hit the store for more paint samples. We're going with Vintage Bread Box, because Tim knows how much I LOVE vintage bread boxes.

Is he the best hubby or what?

  1. Never heard of Grapeseed Oil either?? The colour of the bread bin is very similar to the colour I've used when I painted Zombie flesh????

    1. Vintage bread boxes and zombies go together, great. I've had the grapeseed oil in pre-made vegan mayo, but never used the oil before.

  4. So, you've gone from blue to green for the room....?

    1. The blue we had, whilst very pretty, looked too much like a little boy bedroom. We were going for Batcave, not little kid room.

Now we've moved to vintage bread box.

  5. I've heard of grapeseed oil but never used it.
So is the new color green? Instead of the Bat cave, it will be the Green Lantern's hideout!

    1. Me too Alex. Though I've eaten in it vegan mayo, never played with it at home.

Green Lantern's hideout, you kill me :-)

  6. I've heard of grapeseed oil, but I've haven't tried it. I'm glad you showed a pic of the bread box 'cause I didn't picture a green. While your radishy, you will compliment the green nicely. :) Hope it goes away soon though.

    1. Same here Holly. Though I've eaten it in vegan mayo, I haven't bake with it. Then I found something called grapeseed flour. But it was cut with wheat and I cannot have that today. But if I can get my mitts on straight grapeseed flour, that would be cool.

  9. Hope your rash didn't stick around long.
Love the green. Half the walls in my laundry room are painted green (the other half are white).

    1. Thankfully, A LOT of sleep helped. I no longer look like a radish.

What shade of green did you go for in your laundry room?

    2. It bright, a few shades lighter than grass. Don't know what the actual name of the color of paint is, though. I painted it so long ago!

    1. True, they really are tins. But I can't help but say box because it follows the word, bread, so nicely.

We did a few sample patches on the wall and I flippin' love it. So peaceful. White will be for the ceiling.
