Yum vs. Ick

I left behind the gutting of Ethel (only the best fridge, ever), for another trip to Barnes. It was so busy when we got here that we had to sit at different mini tables. But once the bar opened, we moved.

Tried a new herbal hot tea, Autumn something. Tasted like the ass-end of a candle, so Amanda made me a new one. Back to my mint yum. And with it, a teeny piece of pure cacao, brought from home. And oh my gosh, so flippin' good.

  1. I may very well use "ass end of a candle" to describe terribly tasting teas from this day forth... as appropriate of course :) Glad you swapped! Mint is yumtacular!

    1. Did you end up finding something good to eat. I read your post. I know, sometimes it's hard when we're hungry but nothing sounds good.

The mint is a safe tea for me. Glad you enjoyed the ass-end, bit. That's how I described to Amanda when I went back to get my regular, mint.

  5. Mine is usually half burnt without much sweetener most of the time... So we can tolerate most (not "flavored") coffee...

  6. Never heard of the "ass end of a candle..." too funny, Ivy.
Now, of course, I am wanting a Cherry Handpie...

  7. It did smell like the ass end of the candle. It was stinky and I doubt the ass end of anything is going to taste great.

  12. Oh, by the way, bacon was not on my list on my meat poll...however, I do have "pork" or "other". There are too many meats...bison, deer, horse, goodness gracious, so I just kept the poll brief. LOL! :)

    1. True. But bacon for me is a big one. I don't think of it as I would a pork chop or ham. Bacon is its thing. Good bacon, anyway.
