Two Ovens, No Waiting

I'm still figuring out how g+ works and I have two profiles, even though I deleted one (ack). But I'm long past agravated and now I'm seeing just how much food is out there.

The best part, lots and lots of metric, which is how I write and bake. Another best part, tons of food videos. So far, g+ is interactive, fun and educational.

Meanwhile, I've got both ovens on, brunch soon ready, then off to Barnes (we didn't go yesterday). Tim likes to write and do his map (which he sells online), and I'll enjoy the latest issue of BBC GoodFood.

That's a wrap. Catch ya' on the flip side.

  1. Two ovens?! Wow! And I know, Google+ is kind of a pain for me too, too many profiles = super confusing. I didn't know you could delete them. I should really do that. Have fun shopping and shake the Google+ drama off for a while.

    1. Drama frustrations long-gone now. Still need to figure a few things out, but overall, wow. So much flippin' food out there, along with videos.

  3. I chided my mom recently for her two ovens - who the heck needs two ovens? - but I guess if you're a cook, like you and my mom, two ovens are a necessity. Sounds like you're having a good weekend :)

    1. Oh yeah, I use the heck out of both of mine. I don't however, own a dinger (microwave).

What did your mom say when you were giving her crap about her second oven?

  4. Sound like things are turning out well for you , dear Lady Whisk.... Glad that you got issues with G+ straightened out we found G+ to be more complex (and thus more "confusing") to deal with...
a great day to you and yours...

    1. They are confusing and it should not be. Anyone should be able to use any name they want. Among other things, google has made a lot of mistakes in their drive to take over the world.

  5. If you can go to Barnes and read and have coffee there is much good in your world. Still haven't got over losing all the Borders bookshops.

    1. Do you have a favorite coffee? Yes, we loved Borders as well. Shame, really.

No coffee allowed for me of any kind but I am enjoying a mint herbal cuppa yum.

How's the garden? Eat anything yummy today?

    2. Yes, kale, potatoes (Charlotte) and roasted courgettes all from the garden with our meal. I like Americano with hot milk on the side, but a herbal tea is fine too, there is one called Apple Loves Mint which is VG.

    3. Very Good. We used to get G or VG or Exc. on our school reports.

  6. I used to have two ovens in England, but not since we emigrated. It was a joy. Not only that, they were gas fired which is so much easier to control. What're you cooking in those two ovens?

    1. That sounds lovely, Jo.

Little potatoes in the little fan oven and then bacon and pears (not together), in the biggin'.

    2. And now that we're home. Organic bird with lots of vedge will bake in the big oven and in the little, a new pear bake I'm working on, with caramel drizzle.

  7. I prefer the oven to the microwave anyday. I only use mine to re-heat my tea. Boys and hubby use it though, to re-heat or heat everything.
