Friday Q: Food, Allergies & Stinky Stuff

I'm having whack-a-do throat and nose reactions to all cheese, double cream and butter. I can't eat any of it, without a box of tissues. And the smells ...

Today, I made Tim's lunch with cheese.  Phew.  So Stinky.

So for the next 44 days I'm off all dairy. Which bummed me out, at first. But after already feeling better, coupled with the stinky smell, I'm good to go.

Take the cheese, take the butter, just get it the heck away from me, PLEASE.

Now for the Friday Question bits. Do you have food allergies? If so, what ones?

Someone told me that wheat was coming for me next. I hope not but if it does, then I'll learn new baking. Because it sure beats feeling all whack-a-do.

And now, my lovely Boogerbutts, I'm off to finish working on this one cabinet area that holds the food storage containers. It's a constant battle because I love storage containers, and my storage area doesn't love me.

After that, I'm going to enjoy another fun 1.2 star Christmas movie and a nice big cuppa something dairy-free. That's right. I'm living wild over here.

Bring on the weekend.  Muhahaha.

  1. At least you found out what was causing it.
No food allergies that I know of.

    1. I thought so at first, too. But it's not bad, really going without. I did before when I was a veghead.

  3. Sorry about the food allergy. Luckily I don't have one. I'd be very sad if I had to give up dairy and eggs.

    1. I was bummed at first but not anymore

Breathing is MUCH nicer, than dairy. I promise.

  4. No food allergies for me but my youngest son has some issues. I organized my food storage containers a few months ago. As long as I keep the hubby and kids away from it, it stays pretty neat.

  5. I have had a milk allergy forever.
Try not to eat any or very few of the nightshade family, which are many of the veggies I love ! Cut back on gluten and of course the carbs. I gave up glutton and nightshade for 6 months to track how I felt.
Very little if any of processed foods.
Thank Goodness I can still have rice.

    cheers, parsnip

  6. I feel for you. Greatly. I've been suffering from some sudden-onset food allergies for the past 18 months. It's miserable; the list of "can't eats" is MUCH longer than the "can eats" at this point. Hope it passes soon for you.

Hope Tim is feeling better as well!

  14. Fortunately I'm not allergic to anything but I am a little sensitive to dairy, ie, if I have too much I end up coughing a lot. I miss ice cream, which I don't have nearly as much as I used to.

  16. Like I mentioned in my email, no allergies. So far. Cause they can come about at any age and at any time. Also, I love getting your emails in advance of the posts. I feel like I'm getting the inside scoop before it hits the newsstands. Hahaha!

  17. I don't have any known food allergies, thankfully. I do notice, though, that peanut butter sometimes gives me a headache so I don't eat it.
