Fall Down Dead

The cinnamon raisin hard rolls that I made this morning were KILLER.  I'm fall down dead, that's how good they tasted.  I can't wait to be hungry again so I can have another.

Inside the strands are cinnamon, sugar and raisins, then shaped and baked hard roll style.  This was a KILLER hard roll.  I ate my first one with butter and a cuppa something warm.  For the next one I might try cream cheese.

Meantime, I'm done with work.  Yeppers.  I started rolling at four and I wanted to be done by none and I am.

Hot dog.

    1. Last week I nearly ate all the Halloween Oreos, and they were stale. Does that count?

    1. I used organic raisins. Do you like to bake with raisins? I also made one with prunes and apricots but I'm saving that one for later.

  6. Killer stuff. Don't you just love when you make something so good that you want to slap yourself on the back? This is a keeper recipe that you'll become famous for. Just wait and see. One day I'll be at the market and they'll be selling products from Wonder Woman's secret lab :)

Mmm...cinnamon. I love it. It is a favourite spice for me; very popular in my Greek roots. I use it in so many dishes; even sprinkle some on meat to sweeten it. My home is never without it. Never.

    1. So funny. I'm getting all kinds of mixed up, I thought I replied but really that was to the email. Oy.

I used cinnamon by accident once in lentil soup and it was super good. I want to try it on pork, sometime.

What meat do you like it best on?

    2. Pork! The best. Sprinkle a bit and rub it in. Add some oregano, salt and pepper, maybe some steak spice. Then BBQ. And chicken, too. Fabulous on chicken. My mother used to make a wonderful chicken rubbed with cinnamon and some basic spices in tomato sauce that was out of this world. Went perfect with spaghetti. I've made it too, but it's been a long time. Something to fix soon. But yeah, try it on meat. Sooooo good.

PS: I never had lamb before but I would like to try it.

PPS: I'd love to try duck, too.

Even for someone who hasn't got a sweet-tooth, those rolls sound delicious! Anyway, who doesn't love cinnamon?

    1. Here's the best bit, very little sugar. Too much gives me a headache so when it's my own stuff, I keep it leaner.

Not like last night's brownie muck up.
