Today's Bake: Peanut Butter Men

I had so much fun yesterday.  I even worked over so I could have a lighter day today.  The goal was to hit a few stores this morning but with the first spring snow, I might just make a cup of tea, clip coupons and watch Drop Dead Diva.

But first, I have to do bills and complete today's puppy bake.  Peanut Butter Men, two ways.  One with homemade rice flour and the other, homemade oat flour.  I'm curious to see which yields the best gingerbread man shaped dog biscuit.

Meanwhile, I love this photo of Bug.

Happy Spring Equinox and boogie boogie.

    1. I enjoyed your interview with Marcy. Neat idea.

Thanks, that's one of my favorite pictures of Bug. Do you like to bake and/or cook?

    1. Today we were covered in snow, but the air wasn't as thick and white.

But that image is from last year. It's an early morning shot of Bug, before the rest of the house woke. I love her little shoulders, and how quiet and still she was.

      So flippin' cute.

    1. Serbia is 25 degrees? Wow, not here. I am still wrapped in my robe with the heat on, about to eat a hot lunch.

      Burrr ....

    2. I wish we could switch... we haven't had any winter here this year and I'm a polar little coon who prefers snow to sun and freeze to heat :)

    3. Would you ever move to somewhere warmer?

    4. if I had to, but I wouldn't be a happy coon :) I'd probably get depressed if I had to live in Florida with all those perfectly gorgeous people on the beach :) Perfect places for me are Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, maybe the North East of USA where they have long Autumns and Springs and cold winters

  4. Yikes! Snow on the equinox? We had some a few days ago, but I'm hoping we're finally past it now (fingers crossed).

    1. Snow and no eggs in the fridge. Need them for Tim's Equinox gift. It started to stop but then got all foggy, thick and white again.

Wait ... wait, just checked again. Maybe it's done. Did you see Tim's interview?

    2. I watched part of it while taking a break today. Going to watch the rest a little later. Good stuff!

  5. So glad it's not snowing here! We had rain yesterday--what a treat that was. Really.

So...peanut butter is okay to feed the pups? Or do you make that by scratch, too? I remember my husband feeding actual peanut butter to our dog (decades ago) and the dog licked and licked and licked. That was funny!

    1. I do make my own peanut butter, yes. It's very good homemade. But the machine I used all the time, died awhile back and I haven't replaced it. The one I have now, won't even make flaxmeal.

      Oy.

Peanut butter and dogs ... some claim it is not healthy and others say it is. Since our dogs have no belly aches or poopy problems, they get to enjoy it. They LOVE it.

    1. The first year she saw snow, she just kept looking up at it trying to catch bites. Then when we let her out, she would lick the back deck, that was covered in snow. Too much.

  12. Maybe I shouldn't tell you it was sunny and warm in Houston today. Of course, we're paying for it in high pollen counts. The picture of bug is adorable.

    1. I'm in the market for a grain mill as my food processor barked at me yesterday. Still made the rice flour but not as well and it won't make anymore flaxmeal at all.
