NO BLUBBER ZONE

Oh my frickin' gosh, I'm so tired today.  Making some pomegranate juice to see if that helps get my motor running.

If that doesn't work, I'm gonna try a nap.

Unfortunately, my spine and neck are still in a tangle.  So it's another day of rest and getting my coupons ready for 2014.

Meanwhile, on New Year's Eve Tim (who has never made dough), hand-kneaded me a double batch so I could play with it the next morning.  Then we watched THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF, and snuggled on the couch.

It was the best New Year's, ever.  Simple and peaceful and as soon as I'm rested I gotta get back to taking care of myself again.  Not only do I hurt but I also regained some blubber.

And this, points to her belly, is a No Blubber Zone.

    1. Yeah, being on the road or at a party, just not our kind of holiday. Thought that was sad about the black cat thing on your blog. They are so pretty.

    1. I wish it were that simple, but I don't eat nearly as much bread as I bake. I like the shaping and baking parts the best. And then taking the pictures. That part is super duper fun.

The baked dough looks good, though (see what I did there? :)!

  7. Bread looks awesome, can Tim come to my house? :-)

I need to get up and moving on some exercise also, up on a few over the month of December and I need to shed those as it gets nicer so I don't feel like a whale in our pool! Thinking of using the work outs posted at Neila Ray's website: http://neilarey.com/

  10. As a 53 year old (as of today) fat man, I must ask:

    What's wrong with blubber?

Whales are people too Wisk! LOL

Hope you and Tim have a great 2014.

  11. Okay, if you don't eat all the bread that you bake, what, exactly, do you do with it all?

Right now I don't even have any bread in the house. Which is probably a good thing. I like it too much.

Hope you're staying warm. Woke up to -1 this morning. But Tuesday looks like a killer. -15 is forecasted for the low. I feel like I'm back in Alaska!! Yikes!!

    1. I don't pig out on my bakes. But I love shaping and making them. So fun.

Cold here today but I see the sun is up, and bright and I'm getting to my chores. Then this weekend, down with the Christmas lights.

      Cheers and boogie boogie.

    1. Thanks, Suzie. Today is my first day really getting stuff done around the house and then some bills and paper work. Taking lots of breaks but also very happy to not be hurting as badly.

Loved all the pictures on your blog.

  14. Sorry to hear your pain is acting up. Glad you are taking breaks and getting Tim to help if needed. That is true partnership right there. :)

    1. Today I put tea breaks on my prep sheet and made myself sit for bits here and there. Yesterday Tim helped me clean out the fridge. I'm a happy girl. Today I'm in less pain. Though no dough today, will have to wait until tomorrow.

      Pacing myself.

  15. Ease your way carefully into the year. This time of year a bit extra's almost to be expected, but getting back to something resembling a proper routine of exercise and eating will do you good. Until then, just get your rest for that pain, do what it takes to treat that.

    1. Thanks, William. I'm not big into the whole new year, new you kind of hype. But I do need to take care of this pain with lots of resting breaks.

      Happy 2014.
