Yesterday's Yummies

I'm moving slow today.  Sitting at the table, homemade gingerbread latte, working on Poopyhead's edits.  No big bakes today.  But check out yesterday's yummies.

Pierogi Lasagna.  Hand-rolled pasta, homemade onion potato mash, and caramelized onions.  Picture sucks but who cares.  This meal was flippin' feckin' holy crap on a cracker, good.

Now back to edits.  Think I'll be done by the end of day.

    1. Easy but time consuming to make those onions just so. Which I don't mind. I've got the time.

  4. Nom nom... there is nothing I like more than the mix of onions and potatoes. We have a national speciality called 'krompiracha' which filo pastry roll stuffed with fried onions and grated potatoes, salt and pepper.

    1. Yummy. I've never used filo but I do bake them in bread-like dough. Filo sounds interesting though.

    2. Pies and rolls made with filo pastry are national delicassy here at the Balkans. We make filo pies with everything, soft cheese, potatoes, cabbage, spinach... and then the sweet 'baklava' with wallnuts and all other nuts.

    3. I've used filo for other pastry treats, but never with potato onion mash. Just regular dough for my potato bakes, so I'm interested to give pastry dough a go.

      Thanks for the idea.

    1. It's made with the same pierogi dough, just rolled all the way out flat. So much easier and flipping good.

    1. Thanks. I've had that collection for a long long while. My favorite for this season because it fits the perfect amount AND, has a saucer.
