Equinox Gift

Each equinox and solstice we get a fun gift.  In fact, that's the only rule, that it must be something fun and NOT practical.  This is something I've done for many many years before meeting Tim, and I love that he does it with me.

For him, it's a weekend away of gaming in October and for me, a Halloween wax burner, new fall mugs and I'm thinking some glowy green spider lights.  But here's the catch, I'm not buying until this office/catch-all room is DONE.

Talk about motivation.

Meanwhile, check out the Halloween wax burner, along with a 30% coupon.  Click Yankee Candle Coupon, to print your own.  To view the entire collection, click, Yankee Candle Halloween Collection.  Online coupon code is SAVE30 (30% off your entire order).  Expiry date 15 of September.

Cheers and boogie boogie.

  3. I like the idea of seasonal mugs! I have dozens of them, and still whenever I open my cupboard in the morning, I'm like - I have no mugs to drink my tea from...

    1. Do you have a favorite?

Today I rotated our mugs and plates. Bowls and all that good stuff. I like to change it up with the seasons.

    2. I love them see-through :) My favourite ones are always the glass ones through which I can see the colour of the tea, the bits of honey and lemon..... I'd love to have a sparkly one too :) but we have no such mugs here ....

    3. Are you able to order from Amazon? Might be a few sparkly ones there.

    4. nope, too pricey with the customs and we don't have PayPal in my country so we cannot really shop online.

    5. No credit card or mac card online purchases either? Oy.

Just mixed together a homemade vanilla brown sugar latte. Drinking it from my Wonder Woman mug.

    1. I love it so much. Hope it's still in stock when we go. Otherwise, I guess I can order it online but it's more money.

Do you burn wax melts? I like the ones that AC Moore sells. Those are my favorite melts.

  6. Very cool! I got sick of the summer weather around here and went ahead about bought autumn house decorations and candles to try to encourage Fall to get up and running. Took about a week, but the weather has cooled off a bit (we'll see how it lasts...and knowing Colorado, it'll probably snow next week).

    1. I was looking through photos of the puppies and saw them covered in snow.

Fall is a great time of year. Will we see any photos of your decorations?

    1. Oh yeah, this baby won't get put in storage. It's just too much of a nice piece.

Do you like to melt wax tarts?

  9. very cool crow - my daughter would LOVE that. She started collecting crows - although most of them are in storage now because of the house project. There's still one seated on top of her American Girl doll's head...

    1. Funny about it on top of her American Girl doll. Great photos of your little one today, as well. Funny how little dogs sometimes act so big and tough.

I'd love to see a picture of your Halloween Barbie. Will she appear on your blog?

    1. I've did a good bit, real happy with what I did today. And thankful to have another day tomorrow.

Loved the hair on your mini today. Nicely done, that's for sure.

    2. As soon as you're done you can kick back and watch the telly with your feet up and a mug of something warm.

It got suddenly cold here and we had a hard frost. It's cold enough to have driven my cat indoors to sleep with me. I hope it warms back up. Too soon to be cold for me.

    3. I just made myself a homemade vanilla brown sugar latte. So good. Not done yet but making good progress.

Cold here this morning. Just starting to warm up now.

  12. Maybe I can actually afford to buy a Yankee Candle. I usually get other less expensive brands.

    1. Do you have a favorite flavor? I love the warm smells. Sugar cookie, Christmas cookie, vanillas. But Yankee is so high with their prices, that we've taken to Wally's Mianstays. Hazelnut Cream.

      Love it.

    1. Sounds fun. What was the silliest gift?

    2. I think it was for Valentine's Day and it was a small squishy witch (which would've been more appropriate for Halloween...). She was ugly and squat and didn't do anything but I thought she was fun :)

  18. I wish I knew WHY I can't get the REPLY buttons to work. Oh well...

Anyway, no, I do not melt wax. I have tons of candles in the house, but I don't burn them, either. I used to, but now there's no place to safely put them and burn them (at least where I can see them and not FORGET about them!).

Not sure why the reply button doesn't work. Blogger gets so wonky sometimes.
