Chubba Bubba Monday: Rash-Free Zone

I've been out shopping all ding dong day long and let me tell you, I scored some damn good sales, along with a new pair of jeans.  Which thank you very much, were the first pair I put on.  They fit, I liked 'em I bought 'em, end of story.

Which is good because in the past I'd agonize over spending for jeans.  But this time, no stress.  No rash.  No problems.

I'm starting to enjoy spending a little on stuff that I need.  Like pants.  Living in a snowbelt gets pretty cold during the winter months.  And now, I too can have pants.

It's a good day.

  1. Good on you for buying those jeans. You know you deserve it and that you've earned it.

Getting crispy here and I'm dreading having to wear my flannels.

    1. Really chilly here today as well. Had the heat on this morning in the car. I almost stopped at the Tim Horton's cafe for a hot chocolate, and a little writing.

Anyway, thanks. Since I started healing up, I see things differently now. It's okay for me to have more than one, or even more than two pair of good jeans.

      And that feels good.

PS: Loved those Weeping Angels. I'd like life-size ones for the garden. Only I don't want to know what that would cost. Surely a nice big rash :-)

    2. I'm not sure that life-size Weeping Angels could be found... unfortunately !
And if they do, I'm sure that they should be very very expensive !
      My wife would like!

Try with a mini and a little diorama !
That would be easier maybe and costless!

    3. I've never painted a mini but this might get me into it. Those Weeping Angels are wonderful.

I love that your wife wants them in her garden a well. They are cool.

    4. Oh Whisk you should start painting. The gaming community would be so supportive of you and they'd be thrilled to watch you get started. The Dr. Who stuff is so cool and they've got everything associated with the series available. I've got a few Daleks I need to paint up and post one day.

    5. Tim use to paint as well and I talked to him today about doing it together. And he's up for it. Told him I wanted to paint Doctor Who stuff. And I'd love to do Halloween things like Nightmare Before Christmas.

  5. Glad you had a great day! Love that you got some pants. Did you get a coupon with your pants receipt? I'm feeling better this evening - your happiness is contagious! :)

    1. Oh yeah, I got even MORE coupons after that transaction, plus $20 in rewards added to my account for my transaction before that AND, I paid nothing out of pocket for the non-jean stuff.

Glad you are feeling better :-)

  7. Sounds like a good day all around. And good for you for treating yourself to some jeans. Why the heck not? Yesterday I took my daughter shopping and decided to treat myself to a little something. I usually just shop for her, but decided it would be nice to treat myself. So I picked up three new shirts just for me. Happy day!

    1. That is what I do. I will get stuff for everyone else but then hold off on my stuff and that's just silly. I am glad I got these and I'm happy to hear that you got yourself some new shirts.

      Happy Day, indeed.

    1. That almost never happens. Well, the last time it did but before that, never happened.

  10. I usually buy new jeans once I noticed it faded and the tears. Then I'm forced to throw away the old ones which are still wearable but obviously inferior.

    1. My husband has a collection of faded torn jeans, but I gotta say, they are the most comfy once worn forever.

  11. Isn't it amazing you don't mind buying jeans when you're a smaller size, but if you're larger, you don't want them? We people are a strange bunch, aren't we?

    1. That for sure has something to do with it, but also, it's sometimes a struggle for me to buy something that I need, because I don't want to spend the money. But as part of my getting healed up and healthy, I'm okay with buying a Halloween wax tart, or new jeans, or even my favorite nuts.

      It's a good feeling.
