Bucks for Brownies

I can't believe I get paid to start my day by making brownies.

Brownies.

I don't eat them, but I bake them, along with other desserts, salads, veggie chops and the like.  It's a great job.  And I know I've told you before, but I'm real happy to be back.

Really, really.

As for yesterday's bake.  More bean curd with tomatoes, green peppers and onions.  Simple, I know, but I love it just the same.  And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to work.  To make brownies.  For which they will give me a paycheck.

Life is good.

  3. I get paid for making cookies so I know exactly how you feel! But I must say that the bean curd dish sounds better to me right now than brownies. Did you post the recipe?

  7. What's a curd?
Oh, I've came upon a brownies with roasted cherries recipe yesterday and posted it at my Facebook. Nom nom nom... Since I get acne from chocolate I usually make my brownies with peanuts and vanilla.

  8. Karen: No recipe. Just chop and roast your favorite veggies, season to taste and then about ten minutes before they are done, add the mashed bean curd and salsa (if you like), and bake uncovered for ten minutes or until you like it.

Just a toss together kind of thing.

    Bard: Simple is good.

JKIRF: I can't believe they give me a paycheck.

Ian: Rough on the spine. I hurt most of the day, but I have great prep buddies that life all the heavy stuff.

Dezzy: Bean curd is just what we call it. I dunno.

Chocolate and cherries, very nice. Sorry about the acne, but it's good that you've found alternatives. That's the trick.

    Sherry: Sometimes it does :-)

  25. No one would pay me to bake brownies, because I can't be trusted alone with them!.. It's awesome when your job makes you happy.

  26. Brownies are one of life's great pleasures.

Just as long as they're not the sort that wanker Seth Rogen would make.
