Writer's Block

So yesterday I had the worst migraine I've had in ages. Spent the entire day on the couch with Nurse Wiggy keeping watch.

She's a very good snuggle buddy.

And today I feel like a new person. Not one part of my head hurts and I'm back to work on the blanket business.

Meanwhile, here's a comic for all you writers suffering from writer's block. If this doesn't help, let me know. I'll be happy to come over and glue your ass or arse, to the chair.

Hugs,
- Me

  3. Lurk: They are the best.

Trey: Thanks, feels good. Wig woke me early and I actually didn't mind because I wasn't in pain.

Not a fan of migraines. Glad I don't get them often. Tim does though, and that sucks.

  5. I misread when you said Not one part of my head hurts. I thought you said:

Not one of my heads hurt . . . which was very intriguing - if a bit confusing. Either way - yeah!

  7. Ark: Two heads are better than one. Oh boy, I knew it was cheesy, yet I still said two heads are better than one.

    Bard: Thanks. Glad you laughed.

mshatch: That little Calvin cracks me up.

  8. Ha! Great comic. Sorry about your head; you must have been miserable. I can't imagine a more attentive and loving nurse.

  11. So glad to hear your headache has left you today! It's difficult to do ANYthing (except moan and groan) when you have a bad headache. Love the Calvin and Hobbes! ;o)

  12. Sooo....if you have a writers block, you can just move it off your desk? Cool!

    Glad you're feeling better today!

  13. Migraines are the worst. I think I have a few of those blocks sitting around somewhere.

  14. I feel your pain. Lucky for me I no longer get them often. I don't know why, but I am thankful. Glad you are feeling better. How nice to have your very own nurse.

  16. Carol: It hurt so bad that I cried and if I moaned, then it just hurt more. I'm such a wuss.

bliss: That's it. I really believe it's THAT easy. Also, glue ass (or arse), to chair also works nicely.

Susan: Sorry about all the rain you've been getting.

Mo D: Good to hear that you don't get them often. It hurt so bad, I wanted Tim to chop off my head.

Alex: It made me laugh. Love that kid.

  18. I'm glad you're good again. I'm very lucky I don't get migraines, but I know that feeling of waking up soothed after a headache and it feels magical, like a world opened up.

Re the block in the strip, it's actually a pretty good invention for when we spend too long at the desk and others want our attention. Out comes the block, down it goes on the desk and a writer is released, to cook, clean and spend time with the flesh and blood.

  19. Hayley: Howdy Girl. Haven't chatted with you in a long time. Hope the baking and writing are going well.

Porky: I rarely get them, thank goodness. But Tim gets them way too much. That bites.

Good idea on the block. Those flesh and bone people would probably love it.

As for me, work is done and I'm about to treat myself to a nice long jog.

  21. First off I'm very happy your migraine has passed. I had never had a migraine in my life until a few weeks ago. Horrible, horrible experience.

Also, and I'm not exaggerating or stretching the truth in any way, but that is the first Calvin and Hobbes cartoon I've ever read.

    Thanks for posting it!
Is it new? I don't remember ever seeing it before!

  24. Lo-mo: Hey Girly. They really do suck. In fact, it blew the entire day. But at least it was only one day and not a few. That would suckin' muchin'.

The Angry Vegetarian: Oh my my my my. So much to enjoy. It's a fantastic cartoon. So flipping funny. I have them sprinkled throughout my blog but I can't tell you for sure which posts. More on the way. Good stuff.

Robert: Thanks bunches. That kid and Hobbes live on.

Bersercules: Hello there. I've not met you before. Nice to have you here.

There is a comic Web site that has a bunch of old comics but sadly I can't say for sure what page it is. I don't think it's new though.

At any rate, welcome to our little group.

  34. I've never had migraines, fortunately. The occasional problem with sinus headaches and infections, which can really drive me up the wall, but no migraines.
