Good Morning Sunshines

It's Wednesday morning here in the Land of Wiggy.  Just finished breakfast and we're headed for walk.  After that, it's another scheduled writing session for me, followed by more Etsy work.

I'm getting closer to opening my shoppe and I'm pretty darn excited about that.  Woohoo.

And dig this, I'm actually having fun with it.

Double woohoo.

Of course, Etsy will never be as fun four chickens and a good knife, but then, so few things are.

Homemade Carcass Broth
Stored and frozen, for easy use. LOVE that.

  6. Sounds like a busy day. To answer your question from yesterday, I prefer venison when I can get it.

  7. Sounds like a great morning. And I love how you've packaged your broth.

  8. iZombie: Nice to have those sunshine mornings.

KarenG: My favorite way to start a work day.

Cake: That's a great way to start the day. Thanks, yes, it's nice to have fun with the Etsy stuff, after just not wanting to deal with all these blankets.

Lurker: Thanks bunches. I'll post the link when I have some ready for sale. After lunch, I'm headed to snap photos of blankets. We have 65 ready for sale. But no photos.

Porky: It's the best! I won't buy store-bought. Icksville City.

2eDM: I've never had venison, but would try it. I'm trying all kinds of new meats. Was a veghead all my life, not because of some silly extreme diet, just never ate it as a kid. But now ... holy cow, it's all new stuff to try and to play with in the lab. Love that.

Miss Patti: So nice to see you here today. How have you been? Yes, those containers are killer good in the freezer. No burn and easy to pop out for instant use. Love those.

Everyone: Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the world. Here's hoping we all have a groovy rest of your day.

Writing session was great and now it's time for lunch. Hmmm. Think I'll with chicken. Or maybe a sausage sandwich. So many yummy things ...

  11. Have a good day. Hopefully, its not as infernally hot there as it is here. It was already muggy at 5:30 when I headed out to work!

  12. I think the heat index here is at a 105 with 100% humidity. Very fun day. Air conditioning has always been one of my best friends and on days like this I want to buy it a present.

  13. All the best with your business :)

  14. Trey: Oy, early roll call. I used to have that with the shop, had to be there 6am. Was killer in the winters. Now it's just nights, much better. Lots of time to write mornings.

    Hope you're staying cool indoors.

Poopyhead: Big Ed really is a nice air conditioner. I laughed at you buying him a present.

Alex: All the better to cook with.

Bartender: Much thanks. Hope you and Claudia are having a great week. It's Wednesday here today, and the week is flying freaking by.

  15. Best advice I can give for extreme weather is just to find something more pressing. I noticed the days I'm busy I don't really feel it, and hopefully by the time the work drops off, if the weather's still the same, there's been some acclimatisation. A good time for projects were passionate or obsessive about then, but not necessarily a good time for making broth - now I realise what a passion that is!

  16. Porky: Great comment, thanks for checking back. My kitchen gets mighty hot, year round. I can't help it. Gotta cook.

    Robert: Me too. Thanks bunches.

  19. Thanks Bard. I'll post it. Work went well. How was your day?

alexia: It didn't start fun trying to do the relaunch, but I'm having me some fun now.

  21. MG Higgins: And the neat thing is, by time I run out of chicken meat, I also run out of carcass broth. So it always works nicely together.

    Love that.

Do you ever make your own stock?

  22. I think I just gained 10 lbs just looking at all the good eats pictures on your blog. :)

  23. Greg: 10 pounds? Oh no. I'll have to take a few pictures of fruit. Even things out.
