  3. The trouble with peeps is that they're not very good. ;)

  4. Peeps are the focus of evil in the modern world.

(Just kidding - I bought my old lady some hand made 'Peep' earrings just yesterday...)

  5. You know, I don't think I've ever popped a peep. That's the trouble as far as I'm concerned.

  6. @Porky: Just remember that a Peep is 'always loaded', and never point a Peep at anyone unless you're ready to use it.

  10. @ scottsz - I hear you. They seem less and less like my kind of sugary treat. Food's pretty volatile these days.

  11. Lurker: Tim found me this cartoon and I've been holding it just for today.

iZombie: Howdy. Haven't chatted with you in awhile. Hope all is well. I'm headed for a nappy nap after this, but I'll be over to your blog later and see what you've been up to.

Trey: I like to eat a few ears off of Tim's peeps and then put them back in the box for him to find later.

scottsz: Peeps are taking over the world. Handmade peep earrings? That's very cool.

Porky: The thing about peeps, is Tim likes them stale, fresh, really really stale. It's all good.

Todd: Hope you're having a yummy day.

    scottsz: Back at'cah.

Pk Hrezo: I hope you're enjoying your holiday.

Paladin: Sammy is having a good day.

LoneIslander: I like to eat a few ears off of Tim's peeps and then put them back in the box for him to find later.

Porky: The chocolate peanut butter pie pictures didn't come out so great. And now the pie is nearly gone.

  12. That is awesome!
Liz at 8-Bit Words posted a photo of that scene today with the Star Trek characters as the peeps. Popular theme!

  13. Alex: I don't know Liz, but I'm glad to see the Star Trek and Peeps are out about this weekend. Hope you're having a fun day and eating all kinds of nummy things.

  14. I haven't had a peep in over a decade. I don't think I liked them that much to begin with. But it's been a long time, so I don't really remember!

  15. Angry Vegetarian: I never ate them before because I didn't eat gelatin. Now I just eat an ear or a head here and there and that's just to get Tim going. So fun.

  17. What is it with peeps and ... well, peeps? My wife and her girl friends pass the same peeps around from town to town every year...and not just at Easter either.

  18. Look at all those peeps. I dont think we have them here.

  19. There are two schools of thought in my family regarding peeps (discounting a third school that simply says "blech"). The first is a package of freshly opened peeps is best. The second, which includes my mother and myself, holds to the truth that peeps are best when they are properly aged. The aging process involves opening the package and allowing air to circulate for a day or two--firming up the flesh of the peep to create the proper chew. In my childhood, we had so many peeps around that we could eat them fresh and aged to perfection. It is a wonder that I have any remaining teeth.

  20. I wonder if a phaser has the same effect on peeps as a microwave?

  21. Jai Joshi: Glad to hear you like Spock. He's my favorite of all.

Chuck: They are an Easter tradition where I come from, too.

Niki: teleporting you some, straight away.

Rusty: Best answer. Loved reading it. Tim is the same way with the drying out only he gets a little upset when I eat one ear off each bunny. Hope you guys have a great game tonight.

DocStout: I've never nuked one before. Have to give that a go sometime. Just for fun. Only, we're all out now. Gone done in Tim's belly.

  22. Peeps are my favorite candy! They make them for about every holiday now, which doesn't really seem right to me. Peeps have always meant Easter.

  23. David: Nice to see you. Glad you liked it.

Susan: I like the funny shapes they come up with each holiday, but for me Easter for sure takes the cake.

  27. I freaking love peeps. You are correct in your assumption that the correct aging is roughly 30 hours, it perfects the hardening of the flesh.
In my office, they all know I call dibs on all Peeps that are within a 20 miles radius of me.

Sort of makes me want one right now...
