Once Upon a Time

There was a beautiful princess (that's me), and an evil sewing room. The princess didn't want to clean the sewing room. Instead the princess (still me), wanted to make bagels filled with pepperoni, homemade sauce and cheese.

So she did ...

Meanwhile, have you seen this? Pat sent it to me and Tim posted it. It's for sure how not to react to a bad review.

That's all from me. I'd chat more but you know, I gotta get to cleaning that stupid sewing room. Otherwise, I won't let myself buy the heirloom seeds for my veggie garden.

Have a yummy day and Happy Eating.

I stole this from Tim's plate to show you the inside.
And I'll tell ya, nothing makes him happier then when I steal his food.

  1. That author is crazy.

Man, bagel pizza is like the most delicious food on earth. There's something about that combination that totally fails to trigger the "I'm full" response. Delicious pizza bagels.

    Tim's a lucky guy.

  2. See, this is why I don't stop here as often as I want to. This food makes me crazy to eat. And I don't cook like this anymore.

Now clean that sewing room. And when you're done, could you do mine?

  3. Ah cripes, I just feel like I need to go to the gym after looking at your blog. Too much good food ;). Oh, that crazy author link was really quite something hehehe.

  4. I've grown heirloom varieties of tomatoes for the past few summers - so much tastier than shop bought and pretty too. My favourite was one the shape, size and colour of a black grape. Very savoury taste. Growing three varieties of heirloom beans this year; broad, runner and French.

  5. The question is this: would you feel the same way about cleaning someone else's sewing room? That would be fun, right? If I had a sewing room, I'd invite you over to check the theory... then let you get distracted making bagels filled with pepperoni and cheese.

I feel sorry for that author by the way. She did it wrong - oh yes..! - but no one deserves the punishment she's getting. Sales boost notwithstanding.

  6. Maybe you could eat with one hand and tidy the sewing room with the other? Multi-tasking is yummy!

  7. MELTED CHEESE!!!! Takes me back to being a good boy!

  8. -C: I feel sorry for her in some ways but my goodness. Can you imagine if a gamer acted like that? With how small the community is, I don't know that it would be tolerated.

Anne: How come you don't cook like that anymore? And when you did, what was one of your favorite meals to make?

Hot Elk Chick (Johnathan): Poor Tim, barely got to eat his food because I had to snap the shots. That writer, she just amazes me. Especially when she demands the review be taken down.

Alan: Loved your comment and I agree. Those heirlooms are the best. And I love love heirloom beans. I would make organic brown rice and go to the garden for a breakfast of beans and rice. So so good.

Haven't seen the black grape yet. I'll look for that when I reward myself for finishing the sewing room. Thanks.

PS: I won't buy hybrid seeds. Ick.

Porky: Yes, I would feel the same. I don't want to do anyone's sewing room/storage unit. But ... I would be happy to make you bagels filled with goodies.

I feel bad for her too. And then even when they tried talking to her, she kept going. It's a shame.

Christian: You know what? I didn't even taste them.

Bartender: Isn't melted cheese just so good? Num num num.

  9. Oh, yummers! That looks delish. Good luck with the sewing room cleaning. ;o) LOL--love that you called it the "evil sewing room."

  10. Travis: Not a piece in site. Cabbage yesterday.

Carol: It really is the evil sewing room. And I'm the beautiful princess.

  11. Ivy -- I used to be a professional chef for 20 years and just got so burned out by creating and then having to eat or taste it all I just basically got sick of eating. I survived on PB&J for many many years. I haven't done it for about 10 or so so my appetite has come back, but now I don't have my handy dishwashers to clean up my mess anymore. hee hee.

My absolute favorite thing in the whole world is to make bread. All kinds. I love the smell. And fresh out of the oven slathered with Irish cream butter. OMG. If I wanted I could weigh 8000 pounds.

  12. Anne: Wow, great comment back. Thanks for taking the time. So neat that you were a chef. So was Lurker. So very cool.

Bread is wonderful. I agree. I love making the dough by hand. All kinds. Num num num.

  13. I wish I was a princess, but I DON"T wish I had a sewing room. I heard about that reviewer/author. The reference link should say something like, how not to act like a professional.

If it was me, I'd probably feel mad/sad but I'd never dream of saying anything on the reviewing blog except maybe, possibly, hey, sorry you didn't like my book. Maybe.

  14. OMGosh, you always make me so hungry when I come over here! Those look so good.

  15. mshatch: I know I told you already but I really dig your new photo. So nice. It's snowing here now. Burr. That poor little one peeper we had stopped.

That whole thing with that lady just kept getting worse and worse. I feel bad for her. I caught some of the reviews on Amazon. My goodness. I think this one will be something to learn from for a long long time.

Kimberly: As soon as we get Eat-a-Blog running, you'll be able to reach in your screen and grab something nummy to eat. Thanks for stopping in. Happy Eating.

  16. Well if I can clean out my disgusting fridge you can clean out your sewing room. Hop to it!!

Thanks for comment Whisk, you've inspired me for my A-Z theme :o))

  17. Niki: But it's a stupid sewing room. Actually, it's not even that. It's long turned into a storage unit. Sure thing on the comment. You have one of my most favorite blogs, ever.

  18. Definitely one of the things that makes this blog, well that and Wonder Woman and the funny back and forth, is the photography.

I was thinking of writing something exactly along the lines of Hot Elf Chick's remark, so just add a ditto.

  20. I don't understand bagels but maybe it's because I'm Irish, I read about that book review on Tims blog yesterday, really unbelievable. You know it needs to be done, so lets get sorting:D

    Have a good day Whisk.

  21. hahahaaaaa, you are LOVELY !!!
    Greetings

  22. Lurker: When made from home, bagels are amazingly yummy. Instead of making holes in these guys though, I just filled, boiled, and then baked them.

You have a good day, too Lurker. Thanks for the drop-in.

Magda: Greetings to you and have a happy day.

  23. @ Whisk - Dang! Plan A failed... Need a Plan B...

  24. Those look... Amazing, frankly. I've tried to make breads with hot fillings, but usually the filling comes out inedibly molten or the outside is somehow... off.

  25. Hi Porky: You know, I try to clean it but then I just end up in the kitchen, making something yummy.

Hi DocStout: Nice to see you. Tim loves when the cheese comes out a bit and gets all melty and crisp. Have you tried poking holes in the tops of the meat filled breads?

  26. Don't let that evil sewing room get to you - you can do it!

I left you an award at my blog today. :)

  27. Thanks, Susan: Always nice to be thought of and, I don't have that one yet. Double fun.

  28. Wow! That was an epic battle between the person reviewing it and the author. It's funny how some people act. I forwarded that to my girlfriend. Thanks for sharing this!

  29. The Angry Vegetarian: It just amazes me.

  30. Oh, yes, that crazy author's story has been making the rounds. Talk about burning bridges? She's blowing them up.
